For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways” declares the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8

From “Faith –to Faith”

vicki2First of All, I would like to say “Thank You” for visiting the Virtuous Woman, Inc. website and wanted to share a “Piece of my “Passion” as to how this Vision became a reality in my life.

I moved to Denver, Colorado in 1996 after my divorce, it was a season that appeared like one of the most devastating times, so the feelings and emotions that I endured were beyond what anyone could imagine. However, little did I know God allowed me to go through it all because His plan and purpose was bigger and better than what I had planned for my life.

Surely, my life goal was planned out as to how and where I would be. I had worked in the Accounting field for over 15 years by this point. So after a year of being in Colorado, I decided my passion for cooking was what the city needed and I was going to make a difference by being the best southern style restaurant in the Aurora/Denver area. I started the planning and half way through the process God revealed to me that my desire for the restaurant meant more to me than the vision.

For years I cried out to God for a more effective solution to the needs of hurting women who find themselves in these situations/circumstances. Not realizing it was me He was preparing in the process. It is amazing how many of us go through life and may never realize the struggles and challenges people face. I understand now how women who are divorced, single mothers, and widows feel disregarded; and nevertheless viewed as a burden within society.

The many struggles I faced, and the lack of adequate housing and financial budgeting/planning was a major obstruction that could have been eliminated if the opportunities were available. This is a major barrier that has greatly contributed to the limitations in life being a single mother and absorbing the challenges we face.

vicki1So, I did the work that was needed by applying every tool and principle offered in the services at Virtuous Woman to improve my life, as well as the life of my daughters. Although most of the situations were uncomfortable, they cause me to humble myself. Which eventually led me to a place of believing His Promise, His Process, and His Protection that ultimately landed me in a the place of receiving His Provision.

Obedience was the key if I truly desired to be in the Will of God, I pray that this letter gives you understanding of the purpose of Virtuous Woman, Inc., God is calling each and every one of us into our purpose and I am so glad I answered because this is when I finally feel happiness in doing what I’m called to do.

Many women, “who are a Virtuous Woman” now will have the ability to overcome and conquer because the essential resources are available and extended beyond materials and they will no longer feel abandoned, alone, or ashamed of their daily struggles.

Thanks and God Bless
